A. Booking The Bus Ticket.
Booking your seat online (from Causeway Link website) is the best way to secured a seat based on your preferred traveling date and time. You can also buy it from other online platform such as easy book, redbus, busonline, klook, catchthebus etc.
If you didn’t manage to book your ticket, you can also go the counter of Causeway Link inside the JB Sentral. The counter is located just beside the bus bay area in JB Sentral. The rate is the same.
If you are travelling for the first-time in JB and you have purchased travel bus pass, you can also use this to get a free ride to these two destinations (either 2 or 3 days pass). Just tap the card on top of the card reader machine inside the bus and a free ride message will be shown from the screen.

If you don’t have those payment options, you can also buy your bus ticket on the bus provided that there are still vacant seats for you and your family.

B. Taking The Bus
Once you have settled your bus ticket, you are advised to proceed at the JB Sentral bus terminal just below the link bridge between the CIQ Building and the JB City Square Shopping Mall. You can take the escalator going down and proceed to Platform No. 2 to wait for the bus arrival to pick up passengers. Passengers are advised to be at the pick-up point at least 15 minutes before bus departure time.

The ride for this bus is approximately 90 minutes but it also boils down on the road conditions. The route is using the Desaru Express Highway which is a good opportunity for all travelers to pass by the greenery palm oil plantation and the iconic Sungai Johor Bridge, Malaysia.
This bridge is known as the longest single plane cable-stayed bridge in Malaysia. It was opened in June 10, 2011 which is currently has the longest central span of any river bridge in Malaysia with about 1.7 km single plane cable stayed bridge that connects Pulau Juling in Johor Bahru District in the west to Tanjung Penyabong in Kota Tinggi District in the east.
The drop off and pick-up point in Desaru Coast is at the Riverside where you can take a few minute walk right to the entrance gate of the Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast. The pick-up and drop off point is situated near the visitor centre for guest to wait for the shuttle bus service to connect to different luxurious hotels in Desaru Coast such as Westine, Anantara, Hard Rock, One&Only, and the Els Club.

D. Return to JB Sentral
After a day trip in Desaru Coast, you need to be at the pick-up point in Riverside for at least 15 minute before bus departure time. The visitor centre is a suitable place for you to wait for the bus to get back to JB Sentral.
