Exploring LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort in Johor Bahru

Malaysia is a place where you can see a lot of beautiful things. This country offers a wide variety of food selections as well as places of interests for you to relax and unwind. But did you know that Malaysia is also one the few counties worldwide that has a lot of public holidays? Yes. It is.. This country has about 15 public holidays’ days in one year.

With one of the public holidays in Malaysia, we are able to have a trip in Legoland Malaysia Resort in Medini, Nusajaya, Johor Bahru. Come and jom with me as we travel together to Legoland.

The LEGOLAND Characters during their 5th year Anniversary Celebration.

My director gave to me an invitation which is supposed to be for her to visit LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort for its 5th Year Anniversary Celebration.  My director is really nice. She cares for her staff. She even said to me, "bring your wife and your son, they will surely enjoy it." So I contact one of the team (Ms Owi) from LEGOLAND about this matter and to my surprise, she gave us a combo ticket to enter LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Water Park and Theme Park.

We went to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort on that Friday morning (which is a public holiday). The weather forecast shows that it will rain on that morning. So we decided to go first to their LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Water Park to look around(since it is raining,  I brought with me my big umbrella).

Fronting LEGOLAND Water Park LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Water Park is an awesome place to have fun. We had our water park exploration at their LEGO wave pool and its really amazing. The pool has an artificial waves.

My son likes it. He enjoyed the place despite the weather condition on that day. The management has assigned a group of lifeguard to secure the safety of their guests as well.

The Water Park has various adventures to offer.

We enjoyed ourselves at their LEGO wave pool. It is my son's first time to play in a pool with an artificial waves. Since my wife does not have her swimming attire on that day, she was just within the shore. She ended up to be our photographer to capture our moment as father and son.  Of course, I also managed to get good shots of her and my son playing together especially at their Duplo Kids Safari where there are a lot of Lego blocks for them to play with.

My son enjoyed his first day of swimming at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Water Park, but I have to bring him up and dry him up. It is not good for him to be playing with water for the whole day.  We went to a corner where there are a lot of reclining chairs to rest and feed him for his lunch.

By the way, when entering LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, you are not allowed to bring in any food except for drinks (still subject to their rules and regulations). But for us, before we entered the resort, I asked permission to one of their counter staff to bring in the lunch pack food for my son.   We just spend a few hours at their Water Park, we went out to go to the Dry Theme Park. Since it is a public holiday, a lot of people were already inside the Dry Theme Park.

Dry Theme Park

This place is very good for everyone to enjoy various types of adventures.  LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Theme Park has about 40 shows, rides and attractions for everyone to enjoy.

LEGOLAND started its operation since 2012 in Malaysia with its Dry Theme Park only. A year after, LEGOLAND Water Park came in to give more splash adventures to tourists and other guests. In the same year, LEGOLAND introduced their hotel to cater the needs of their guest for a place to stay after a whole day at their Dry Theme Park and Water Park. In 2014, LEGOLAND Mini-land was set up. The structures within the Mini-land was made out of Lego bricks to give additional attraction to their theme park. It offers different Lego models of famous landmarks in Malaysia, and other Asian countries like Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Brunei, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and some parts of the world like China and India.  In 2015, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort bring in Ninjago Live at their LEGOLAND City stage. This is an interactive High-octane Ninja action for everyone to enjoy. On the same year, LEGOLAND movie came in 4D. The Istana Besar, the grand palace of Johor comes as an additional attraction at their Mini-land attraction.

In 2016, Ninjago ride come in to the picture to give more exiting ride to everyone.  And now, 2017, LEGOLAND celebrate its 5th year anniversary in the month of September.

Anyway, LEGOLAND will always be a LEGOLAND with a lot of surprises for their guests.
