I experienced Ocio Sea Bay Resort when I was given a formal invitation to attend and experience the opening of Ocio Sea Bay Resort in November 2017. I brought with me my son, wife and my sister-in-law.

The event was really happening with good food, meeting new friends, having chit-chats with some of the members of the resort, and most especially to experience how is it to be in this kind of adventure.

To sum my experience to this place, I definitely describe the adventure with these words:  “you will be disconnected from your city life, busy life or urban life. All you have to do is embrace the humble life at the resort where you have only a few people around you, enjoy fishing, and just relax with their available amenities.

About Ocio Sea Bay Resort?About Ocio Sea Bay Resort?

In my discussion with Mr. Cedic, one of the Resorts’ Corporates, Ocio was derived from the Spanish term “Ocio” which means  “Leisure or free time”.  Hence, Ocio Sea Bay is categorized as Leisure Sea Bay Resort. The resort (as of now) has about 7 available air-conditioned room, queen size bed with bathrooms. According to Mr. Cedric, the Company is in the process of expanding its area to have additional room to cater to the needs of their customer.

How to go to Ocio Sea Bay Resort?

  1. From the town area, JB Sentral (right after the 1stLink CIQ Custom), we drove our car for about 42 kilometers going to Tanjung Fishing Village at Gelang Patah through the Nusajaya Highway. The journey would be about 30-45 minutes depending on road conditions).Within the Journey, You have to trust Waze. The app will direct you to the right way.

  2. Upon exiting the bridge from the Gelang Patah Town, you will be entering an asphalt narrow road. That road is actually two-way. learn how to give way when another car is passing from the other direction. You must have at least a speak for not more than 30 KPH speed especially when you are passing through the sharp curves.

  3. Upon Reaching Tanjung Fishing Village, there is a good parking space for you to park your car near the place where the jetty is waiting for you.  You have to remember to close properly your car windows as there are a lot of monkeys around this area especially during the afternoon until evening.

  4. There is a public toilet with clean running water from it but don’t expect to be up to the city standards. Once you are at this point. You have to quickly shift your mind that you are already in a “kampong area” where facilities is not that standard as those in the city.

  5. Mobile phone ( DIGI) signal or reception is not that strong from this point.Ocio Seas Bay jetty is waiting as per stated in their itinerary. They are on time, hence you must be on time as well.   Ocio Sea Bay staff is wearing a yellow uniform with a trademark of Ocio Sea Bay behind their shirt.

  6. The jetty is about 15 minutes depending on the condition of the waves. The jetty has its life vest for security purposes. The journey is very good especially when you are about to see the connecting road of Tuas Checkpoint to JB CIQ 2nd Link.

About their room reservations:

I would suggest you contact Mr. Cedric on his mobile number +6017 607 0129 or  +6018 363 4238. Ocio Sea Bay Resort is definitely a good venue for Company Outing, Group Reunions, Team Building and even weekend gateway.
