With the 4th year anniversary celebration of Gleneagles Hospital Medini Johor, Mr Jean Fancois Naa, CEO Gleneagles Hospital Medini Johor formally introduced their new and exclusive single bedded room ward and new radiotherapy services that performs Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).
Gleneagles Hospital Medini Johor has added 22 new exclusively designed single bedded rooms comprising one Presidential Suite, two Junior Suites and 19 Single Deluxe room. These new wards will cater various types patients that required special rooms for them and their family while they (the patients) are undergoing a medical treatments inside the Hospital.
At the same time, Gleneagles Hospital Medini Johor is also the first and only private hospital in Johor to offer Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), an advanced form of radiation therapy where high doses of radiation are delivered to small targets within the brain and spine. SRS is a non-invasive procedure that does not required anesthetic or incisions.
Nowadays, medical tourism is common not only in Malaysia but also in some parts of the world. Assisting the patient's family to have a stay inside the hospital while they (the patients) are undergoing medical treatment. The presence of the family member during the healing process of the patients will help them emotionally and psychologically to recover and overcome boredom throughout the process. This has been proven by a previous case studies on medical technology industries.
The new ward will be opened to the public on the 23rd of November 2019 with other underlying activities set by the management of Gleneagles Hospital Medini Johor. These wards will be beneficial to all patients especially if they are coming from overseas like China, Indonesia, Singapore and other ASEAN countries who want to bring their family with them as they undergo medical treatment.
This new ward will also optimize the cost of the patient from booking to other accommodations. The new ward can actually accommodate quite a large group of families of 5-8 pax in just one roof. The family room of Gleneagles Hospital Medini Johor is equipped with room, microwave, fridge, hot and cold shower, water dispenser and many more.
Meanwhile, YBhg Datuk Ismail Bin Ibrahim, Chief Executive of Iskadnar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) mentioned that this new development of Gleneagles Hospital Medini Johor will add value to Medini's Health Care program and also to the campaign of a healthy smart city for all private sectors, commercial stakeholders, and overall to the general public.
