The most awaited time has come for Desaru Coast to open their Adventure Waterpark.
July 19, 2018, is their soft launching day and few local tourists were sighted in their waterpark to encounter the said “Splashing Adventure” of Desaru Coast Adventure Water Park, Johor, Malaysia.
We arrived in Desaru Coast thru public bus transportation from Senai International Airport, Johor and we took their 9AM route schedule.
The bus driver also informed us that July 19, 2018, is the soft opening for the operation of Causeway Link Express Bus Service between Senai International Airport and Desaru Coast, Johor. The bus ticket is available at their Causeway Link Counter inside Senai International Airport and also at their website booking page: https://goo.gl/dHhosJ.
The introductory promotion for the bus fare is RM15 for one way and RM28 for two way from 19th July to 31st August 2018. After the introductory promotion of this bus service, the bus fare will be back at its usual price- RM19 for one way and RM34 for two-way.
Upon reaching the airport, we need to go at their Causeway Link counter to exchange our e-ticket for a boarding pass. According to their counter staff, we need to keep the receipt while on the journey. The boarding pass will be our reference for our insurances in case of unforeseen circumstances.
The express bus service is a 29-seater high decker luxury bus. The seating arrangement is very luxurious and it has leg room for us to rest our feet. The bus has also a Free Wi-Fi and has a conducive air conditioning facility. Ultimately, the bus ride was amazing and the driver is very respectful.
Our journey from Senai International Airport was about two hours but there were some delays as the bus needs to drop off some of the passengers in few of the hotels nearby Desaru Coast. Some of the hotels include Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa, Sand & Sandals Resort & Spa Desaru Beach, and Tunamaya Beach & Spa Resort Desaru Coast.
Upon entering the Desaru Coast, some of the structures are still in progress. Few lorries were seen around the area and are loaded with some construction materials for the next shops and establishments that may be built within the area.
Anyway, the bus dropped us at the drop off point in Desaru Coast. The drop off point is just near the Riverside where you can see a manmade river. The landscape in the area is amazing.
Family members are required to apply sunblock before exploring the wonderful riverside view of Desaru Coast. The weather in Malaysia is really hot (ranging an estimation between 28 to 38-degree centigrade).
On our way going to the entrance of the Adventure Waterpark, we’ve seen some cafes, doughnut shops, and some restaurants in the area. Some were open and some shops are still close. They are still filling up some stocks.
Upon entering Desaru Adventure Waterpark, every visitors are required to allow their bags to be checked as food is not allowed except for drinks (mineral water). Guests are also advised to use swimwear attire.
Every visitor must use their entrance wristband tag as it will be used as a way to buy things and food inside the waterpark. If they need to top-up the credit in their wristband tag, they need to go to the customer service to top-up credit on it. The payment inside the water park is all cashless.
The first ride that can be noticed when entering the Adventure Waterpark is their thrilling Shipwreck Reef at their Penawar Riverside followed by their Kraken’s Revenge ride, Penawar Falls, and their most thrilling ride- The Tempest Ride.
Another exciting place inside this water park is their Wave-pool. Their pool is considered as the largest wave pool in Malaysia and in Southeast Asia.
Kids can also enjoy at their ‘Lil Warrior Hideout’ place. The area is accented with a lot of the water slide, hence parents must accompany their child at this place.
There are a lot of stories that we can share about this experience. But for us to elaborate more, we need more time hence we will only share more of the activities inside Desaru Coast after their Grand Opening Day somewhere in the last quarter of this year.
The entrance ticket for Desaru Coast waterpark as of this time is RM75 for an adult (aged 12 to 59 years old) and RM56 for Child (aged 3-11 years old). Children (toddlers/ infant below 3 years old is free to enter the water park.
Stay Tune.
